One thing is already clear: our jury for the SMART TECH TROPHY 2016
Yes, indeed, its starting to get serious. The deadline for the SMART TECH TROPHY 2016 is approaching. We have already selected our jury.
Jens-Uwe Freitag, managing director of the swb Erzeugung AG & Co. KG and initiator of the kraftwerk – city accelerator bremen, is naturally in the jury.
Markus Völkel, representing the Mercedes-Benz plant in Bremen and its site manager Peter Theurer, is also on the jury. He is the plant project manager for new model projects with an innovative mind who is familiar with the necessary processes and developments as well as the needs at Daimler and in the market.
Prof. Dr. Jörg Freiling is the Chair of “Small Business & Entrepreneurship” (LEMEX) of the Business Studies and Economics faculty at the University of Bremen and brings in scientific as well as economic know-how on the topic of start-ups.
Dr. Carl Evertsz represents the Bremen business community. The enterprising entrepreneur has extensive experience in the private sector, has an eye for the prospects of business ideas on the open market, and knows how such ideas need to be planned and prepared in advance.
Alexander Kmita is managing director of the swb Vertrieb GmbH and is responsible here for the topics of digitization and customer processes.
Last but not least, we were able to recruit Simone Lordieck as a member of the jury for the SMART TECH TROPHY 2016. In her role as the Head of Corporate Development and Strategy at the swb AG, she checks the extent to which the participating start-ups can be integrated into and supported by the business areas of the swb or business partners of the company.
Six people from business and science who have extensive know-how and knowledge of the requirements for a successful start in the market and will listen to our participants’ pitches from a critical, and in particular enthusiastic and inquisitive perspective – and at the end will finally decide: who will win the SMART TECH TROPHY 2016?
We asked them why they are in the jury, what makes them so enthusiastic about start-ups, and how they can be convinced of a business idea. In the upcoming weeks, we will introduce you to the members of our jury and present their replies in detail.
